NOUGHTS & CROSSES IDEA

In todays lesson we had the idea of using the same coloured cards as the chorus but using them on the floor to play a game of noughts and crosses in the video. This will fit our theme of bright intense colours and playfulness throughout the video. We cut out card in the shape of O's and X's and then made the board on the floor to practise the shot and how it will go. We want to have a high angle shot to really emphasise the game being played with the band members included in the shot also. This shot can then be put into the video during a non-band performance scene and most likely a verse.

  1. Your preparatory work led to a final shoot and I have seen the rushes today: ity worked really well and you have already captured and edited it in your music video. Well done, Jonny, for taking responsibility for getting the editing done on this sequence.

  2. In the lyrics, lines 3 and 4 refer to light and games:
    'Take me down to light the box
    And play super Scalextrix.'
    Is this one of the prompts to use games like Noughts and Crosses? You have also incorporated bright lights in primary colours with repeating patterns in your video. Is line 3 one of the prompts, linking your lyrics to the visuals and cutting it to the beat? It works incredibly well in your video.
